LanSchool Technologies LLC, a leading provider of classroom management software, today announced a significant new release of its flagship product LanSchool. LanSchool v7.0 is important because it sets a new standard of value for improving the learning environment in a computer-based classroom.
“LanSchool v7.0 was a challenging project because we wanted to retain the simplicity of the product, while adding critical new features,” said Dana Doggett, founder and President of LanSchool. “We believe the combination of superior core technology, a simple but attractive graphical user interface, a significant price drop and an unmatched support policy will make LanSchool v7.0 hard to pass up when comparing classroom management solutions.”
LanSchool v7.0 enhances the ability for teachers to demonstrate to the class, remove distractions such as the Internet and unwanted games, monitor student progress and increase collaboration in the classroom.
Teachers, with a quick glance, will be able to tell if the students are on task. The new crisp, high color thumbnails also show the icons of the current website and application that the students are running. Students can now indicate they need help and teachers can assess student understanding through the new Voting and Chat features.
Technology coordinators will appreciate LanSchool’s unique North American support policy. If customers encounter an issue that cannot be resolved over the phone or Internet, LanSchool will send out an engineer, at no cost to the customer, to fix the problem.
Pricing and Availability
The product also supports Windows Vista and will be available from LanSchool starting May 14th, 2007. Pricing decreased almost USD$200 from the previous version and starts at USD$599 per classroom. Competitive upgrades, small classroom licenses, K-12 school site licenses and volume discounts are also available.
