Indianapolis, IN – April 25, 2014 – Stoneware, Inc., the leader in classroom management software, announces the immediate availability of LanSchool 7.8. The release several new enhancements and important bug fixes, many of which were heavily requested by current and prospective customers.
Two highly anticipated features of LanSchool 7.8 are Google Chromebook support, as well as a brand new Assessment Mode. Riding the wave of momentum caused by the increasingly popular Chromebook platform, LanSchool now offers teachers the ability to monitor and collaborate with these devices, just as they already can with PCs, Macs, Thin Clients, iOS and Android devices.

Schools using LanSchool’s assessment mode will be able to lock down both student and proctor devices to ensure compliance with online testing requirements. In addition, the audit log feature will track and record the state of the device when it is in testing mode.

- Auto Update through the LanSchool Connection Service
- The LanSchool Connection Service can now update all Windows and Apple-Mac students to the same version of LanSchool software.
- SSID Limiting
- The Network tampering feature of LanSchool has been enhanced to include wireless network management forcing students to connect to approved Wi-Fi networks.
- New Universal iOS Teacher Assistant application for iPhone and iPad
- Chrome Limiting on Mac
