Print Policy Rules and Print Optimization with PaperCut
This screencast covers some of the print policy rules/alerts and print fleet optimization features available in PaperCut. The screencast primarily focuses on what the end-user sees and how these alerts influence use print behaviour.
The two print policy rules demonstrated are, “Discourage printing emails in color” and “Encourage duplex printing”. PaperCut covers with dozens of pre-written print workflow recipes that can quickly be included or tailored for your print environment. Powerful print script may also be used to build your own printer output management rules. Ideas including routing large jobs to dedicated high volume printers, through to controlling printer availability by time of day.
The screencast concludes with a demonstration of PaperCut’s printing environmental impact desktop widget. This software allows users to view their own personal printing environmental impact and compare their printing habits with the company/organization average.
