Student Print Workflow with PaperCut

This screencast covers the average print workflow of a student in an education environment running PaperCut. In a school/college/university lab, PaperCut is typically used to implement print quotas or print charging.

The screencast shows the various stages of printing as a student and tours the PaperCut client software; a window that records the user’s print balance in realtime as they print.

The student printing experience with PaperCut is simple and straightforward with no pop-ups or distractions, however the system administrator of the site can introduce advanced print policies and rules such as confirmation dialogs before printing large jobs or even automatically converting jobs to duplex and/or grayscale. Combined, these features help to reduce environmental impact and the cost of printing.
